I understand paying a resort fee if you will be using those services and amenities, but if you aren’t then that is just wasted money out of your travel budget. And when a hotel website doesn’t adequately disclose those resort fees ahead of time, then it makes the matter that much worse.
This Airport Has a Massive Slide That Will Take You to Your Gate. – With all of the craziness (and boredom) that happens at most airports, it is refreshing to see that Changi Airport took steps to add a little fun to your airport experience. I want to fly through this airport just so I can go down the slide!
This is why you always reevaluate your hotel bookings. – Prices change for hotel rooms constantly. If you can, check the hotel’s website in the days leading up to your trip to see if the price has dropped. Remember, if the hotel doesn’t get someone to pay for that room, they lose 100% of the revenue! Just keep in mind cancellation periods on your reservation, otherwise, you could be paying twice for your room if you try to cancel after the deadline.
Dominican Republic Announces New Safety Measures. – These new safety measures sound good, but it doesn’t seem that people have been getting sick from the food. Every story that I’ve read is focused on people that drank from the mini-bar. That sounds like it is something happening at the bottling source. Hopefully, they will figure it out soon because I hear that the DR is a wonderful place to visit.
