With so many airlines charging sky-high prices for flights, it may be time to look at low-cost carriers like Norse Atlantic. While these airlines often charge extra fees for features that are normally included in other tickets, they can still be a great deal. One-way flights from JFK to Berlin and London are only $189, Oslo, Norway is only $215, and Paris is just $235.

Lufthansa intends to fully take over ITA Airways, CEO says.

Lufthansa purchased 41% of struggling ITA Airways, and it intends to purchase the rest of the airline in the future. It’s going to wait and see how the airline performs over the next two years. But, it hopes to complete the next phase of acquisition in 2025.

Tulsa International Airport announces free visitor pass program.

We’re going Back to the Future with this policy change. Many readers are too young to remember that non-flyers used to be able to enter the airport and accompany friends and family to the departure gate. Or you could be inside the terminal waiting for them when they arrived. That all changed with 9/11. At Tulsa, they’re trying a program where you can apply for a visitor pass to enter airport security without a ticket. You can apply up to seven days in advance. Do you wish more airports would adopt this policy? Or are security lanes too bad already?

More airlines saying ‘leave your passport in your pocket.’

Many airports and airlines are using biometrics to identify passengers instead of traditional IDs, like a driver’s license or passport. While this method is way more convenient, it is also a bit scary for your personal information. If something happens to your ID, you can always get a new one with a different number. If hackers steal your biometrics, it’s not like you can get new eyeballs or fingerprints. Hopefully, the airlines and airports are using stringent security protocols to protect your data.
