The Morning Shave

Drop U.S. Airline Mask Mandate, Say 21 State Attorneys General. – Airlines and states are pushing the Federal government to drop mask mandates. While I don’t wear masks in public spaces, I’m not sure that removing masks in a confined tube is the best idea right now. But, it’s obvious that a lot of people disagree. Airlines have done a good job of adding air filtration systems and bringing in fresh air, so maybe it is time to remove the mandate? I’m not sure. What do you think?

World’s longest wooden roller coaster is getting longer. – Amusement park lovers don’t have to travel far to ride the world’s longest wooden roller coaster. It’s located at King’s Island in Ohio, and the theme park just made it two feet longer. While that doesn’t seem like much, the big drop now tilts at 53* vs. 45*, which makes for a thrilling adventure and a smooth ride. I can’t wait to check it out.

IHG’s Atwell Suites makes its debut. – A new all-suite brand from IHG focuses on upper-midscale travelers who are staying 4-to-6 nights at a time. Guests receive complimentary breakfast and the rooms are designed for longer stays. They even have monthly themed events planned for guests to enjoy. It seems targeted for travelers who currently stay at Conrad or Embassy Suites. What do you think of this new brand?

These Airlines’ Boarding Passes Offer Travel Perks Even After You Land. – Don’t throw away your boarding pass when you land at your destination. While boarding passes are good for flights and (with the right credit card) entry into airport lounges, the benefits don’t have to end when you leave the airport. Benefits include free lift tickets, discounted admission to attractions, free entrees or beverages, and more.

Become a certified mermaid at these 7 vacation spots. – Whether you’re a child or an adult, there’s something magical about mermaids. If your dream is to become a mermaid, these resorts can make it happen. And the certification doesn’t come from some scammy online school. You’re a legit mermaid thanks to the PADI Mermaid Course. How cool is that?
