The Morning Shave

First look at Delta’s new 30,000-square-foot Sky Club in Los Angeles. – Airline lounges make the travel experience so much better. Although I pay extra to have credit cards that provide free entry, the cost is totally worth it. It’s exciting to see so many airlines and credit card companies opening new lounges and enhancing existing ones. What do you think of this new lounge at LAX?

Delta makes two policy changes that benefit frequent flyers. – Earning credit towards elite status is an awesome improvement for people who like flying Delta. And the elimination of the earning cap on paid flights is a huge deal for higher-level elites who book high-priced tickets. One of my buddies recently switched allegiance from AA to Delta and he is extremely happy with his choice. What do you think about these changes?

The Airlines Most Likely to Lose Your Luggage, According to Report. – The best way to avoid losing your luggage is to be #TeamCarryon. When that’s not possible, check out these airlines to figure out which one is least likely to lose your bag. And don’t forget to book your ticket with a credit card that includes travel protections, like lost or delayed baggage coverage.

Trump hotel in D.C. will become a Waldorf Astoria. – Trump’s ownership of this historic property was a political flashpoint for many people. Now that it is available for Hilton travelers to earn and redeem points, are you more or less likely to stay there when visiting D.C.?

Marriott’s dynamic award pricing is live — here’s what that means for travelers. – The moment Marriott Bonvoy members have been dreading is finally here. While there will be some situations that improve, I think that the move to dynamic pricing is overall bad for those of us who try to maximize the value of our points.
