The Morning Shave

Club Wyndham Review: Are Timeshares a Good Alternative to Vacation Rentals? – I own a couple of timeshares and there are good & bad aspects to ownership vs. a hotel or vacation rental. You get a lot of space and a full kitchen with most timeshares, but you have to pay annual dues whether you use it or not and you might not be able to book in the places and dates you want to travel. With many timeshare locations able to be rented now, renting vs. owning is a much better option for most families.

Southwest Airlines Is Getting A New CEO. – Gary Kelly has transformed Southwest from a regional airline to one that competes with the U.S. legacy carriers in a major way. With international expansion and flights to Hawaii, Southwest is now one of the largest airlines in the U.S. But, what does its future hold? Sometimes the guy who got you there isn’t the guy who can reach the next level. We’ll see what the new person brings and what changes they make (because you know there will be changes). Let’s just hope that Southwest doesn’t lose its “LUV” for passengers, low fees, and free checked bags.

What are floating breakfasts, and why have they become so popular? – Influencers do so many random things in order to get a good photo. While floating breakfasts may look fancy, they seem to be a pain to actually eat. Soggy food, tray bouncing around, etc. doesn’t sound that appealing to me.

Airlines Ask Justice Department to Prosecute Unruly Flyers to Send Stronger Message. – It seems that some people have lost their minds and think that it is ok to act crazy on a plane. I support the airlines prosecuting these people to teach them (and others) a lesson and discourage bad behavior in the future.

How to share your American Express Uber Credits across multiple accounts. – Now that my wife and I each have our own Amex Platinum cards, we’re doubling up on the monthly credits. It would be nice if I had access to her Uber credits while traveling, so this is a nifty little trick to ensure that we’re not forgetting to use them. If you haven’t tried Uber yet, use my Uber referral link to get a welcome bonus.
