Hilton is by far my personal favorite for hotel brands. And now with their recent partnership with American Express, they are making even larger efforts to get their credit cards in your wallet! The Hilton Honors Amex Cards hold extremely value and potential for your next vacation.

Hilton Honors Amex Cards Bonuses Are Even Higher

In February 2018, the partnership between Hilton and Amex was announced, and the portfolio of Hilton Honors Amex Cards was introduced.

For myself, I started with the Hilton Honors Ascend Card, and have been very impressed with the value and customer service I have received. I stayed at 2 Hilton properties the weekend of my wedding, including the historic Hilton Checkers, and both of my stays were outstanding! The hotels were kind enough to supply chocolate strawberries, wine, and other amenities for the special weekend.

And now, bonuses are at an all-time high! With thousands of dollars in potential value, you don’t want to miss out on a great bonus to jumpstart your next vacation plans with the Hilton Honors Amex Cards!

Hilton Honors Aspire American Express Card

The Hilton Aspire Credit Card is the “big dog” of the portfolio. With a 150,000 Honors points bonus after spending $4,000 in 3 months, this is a great way to start your luxury travels.

In points alone after minimum spend, those 162,000 Honors points are worth roughly $970!

Along with this, the Aspire comes with the following perks:

  • Complimentary Diamond Status
  • 1 Free Weekend Night Upon Approval and continuing with each annual renewal
  • $250 in Hilton Resort statement credits
  • $250 Airline Fee Credit
  • $100 Hilton on property credit when booking at least a 2-night stay
  • Priority Pass Select Membership

And the rewards for spending are the following:

  • 14x points per dollar on Hilton purchases
  • 7x per dollar on flights booked direct, car rentals and restaurants
  • 3x per dollar on all other costs

While the annual fee is $450, the points alone are worth it! Everything else is just gravy.

Hilton Honors Ascend American Express Card

The Hilton Ascend Credit Card is the “little sister” of the portfolio, but nothing to be laughed at. With a 125,000 Honors points bonus after spending $2,000 in 3 months, this is also a great way to gain great value!

In points alone after minimum spend, those 131,000 Honors points are worth roughly $785!

The Ascend comes with the following perks:

  • Complimentary Gold Status
  • 1 Free Weekend Night after spending $15,000 in a year.
  • Priority Pass Select Membership

And the rewards for spending are the following:

  • 12x points per dollar on Hilton purchases
  • 6x per dollar on restaurants, supermarkets, and gas stations
  • 3x per dollar on all other costs

At a much lower annual fee of $95, this card is a great card for someone looking to start racking up points at a small investment.

Hilton Honors Business American Express Card

The Hilton Business card is a unique card within the group. The 125,000 Honors points are great, but this card requires $5,000 spend in 3 months. A bit of a heavy minimum spend as this type of heavy spending is typically for a “premium” card like the American Express Platinum Card.

In points alone after minimum spend, those 140,000 Honors points are worth roughly $840!

While the offer and features of the Hilton Ascend and Hilton Business are the same, the spending categories are a bit more expanded.

  • 12x points per dollar on Hilton purchases
  • 6x per dollar on gas stations, wireless telephone services, shipping services, car rentals, travel booked direct, and restaurants
  • 3x per dollar on all other costs

The annual fee remains the same at $95, but the spending categories are a bit more robust with the Hilton Business.

Hilton Honors American Express Card

The Hilton Honors American Express card is the “youngest sibling” of the products. The 75,000 Honors points is a good start to building for the future of your points.

In points alone after minimum spend, those 78,000 Honors points are worth roughly $465!

This card is a step down as it doesn’t come with nearly as many features. But, if you are anti-annual fee, this card will definitely suit your needs. This card comes with:

  • Complimentary Silver Status
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • Car Rental Damage Insurance
  • Travel Accident Insurance

The spending categories are on the more conservative end, but are still a great way to rack up points:

  • 7x points per dollar on Hilton purchases
  • 5x per dollar on restaurants, supermarkets, and gas stations
  • 3x per dollar on all other costs

The Bald Thoughts

This group of Hilton Honors Amex Cards are nothing to laugh at. These cards hold incredible value, especially with these increased bonuses! This is a great opportunity to invest in a hotel brand, earn status, and travel the world for much less than you expected. Travel More, Spend Less, and Live Better.

Are you applying for any of these cards? I’d love to hear your thoughts, either for or against these cards!

        • Thanks for letting us (and the readers) know, Brian. This is great news! As Brett said, big offers like this are usually only available for a limited time. But I think, to Brian’s point, that Hilton is feeling the heat from the combined Marriott/SPG and they need to act to attract more cardholders.

    • I totally agree, Oliver. These hotels and airlines are international brands, why don’t they provide bonuses for international transactions? I think it’s probably due to how different countries categorize transactions and share the data. We can hope that technology will allow this limitation to be eliminated in the future.
