The Morning Shave

U.S. Customs extends Global Entry membership for those waiting to renew. – It took more than five months for my son’s Global Entry application to process. And now we’re waiting for six weeks to get the first available appointment at any processing place near us. Processing a Global Entry application should be easy for children, but apparently it isn’t right now. I’m glad that Customs is recognizing the issue and giving people some breathing room.

Here’s Why Planes Fly at 36,000 Feet. – We all know that planes rise to a certain height, but I never knew why until I watched this video. Now, it makes complete sense.

Do Airplane Blankets Really Not Get Washed? – The only time I used airplane blankets is when I fly long-haul Business or First Class. I hope that those get more attention given the premium people pay to fly there. If you want a blanket while flying, you’re probably better off bringing your own lightweight blanket, like this portable microfiber blanket from Amazon.

Rolls-Royce to launch all-electric plane in 2020. – This is an incredible innovation. In the next decade, I can imagine this technology making its way to smaller, regional aircraft. I wonder if the battery technology that Elon Musk is perfecting with Tesla will help to power the next generation of aviation? Thanks to reader Larry for sharing this article.

This Is the Number One Reason People Fight With Their Spouses on Vacation. – Vacation is supposed to be a time to relax and reconnect with your spouse, family, and friends. It’s a shame that so many people get frustrated and upset at each other while traveling. In today’s uber-connected world, unfortunately, this reason for fighting is too common. I know I’m guilty of it.
