What is RFID? RFID stands for “Radio Frequency Identification”. In short, this is the technology used in work badges and credit cards. RFID chips are able to both send and receive information. While convenient, this poses a real threat to your personal identification now that this technology is being incorporated into credit cards and passports.

There are so many things to keep track of while we are traveling. Cell phones, boarding passes, departure times, hotel reservations, and so on. It can be quite easy to forget 1 or 2 things. We are all guilty of it.
However, many of us don’t really think twice about “protecting” our digital belongings. Anything farther than a hotel safe for valuables becomes an afterthought.
While it isn’t common, criminals have been known to use high-tech skimmers as you walk by them in airports. These skimmers can collect data from your credit cards and/or passport.
