Covid lifted Prague’s hangover. Now the city wants to quit partying. – Pre-pandemic, over-tourism was a big problem for some cities. They loved the tourism dollars, but it made life unbearable for the average citizen that lived there. Like everything in life, you need to find a happy medium to have long-term success. Hopefully, they’ll figure out a way to make it work.

Virgin Atlantic FlyReady to streamline transatlantic journeys. – Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic have partnered on a digital health tool that allows you to find, book, and prove that they have the correct COVID-19 tests to fly to their destination. This is a very helpful tool since you don’t want to think you have everything covered, but then find out that you took the wrong COVID test. Lufthansa is also providing fast check-in with a digital certification of your test results. More and more airlines will start offering these technologies to encourage travel and make life easier for passengers.

What are your best hotel tips?

Book carefully; Some open countries are shutting down again. – We’re all excited about traveling again and are starting to book travel to destinations around the globe. One thing that we have to remember is that COVID flare-ups could cause some of these countries to shut down again and derail our travel plans. Keep an eye out on your destinations and double-check COVID requirements at least a week before your departure date to ensure that you don’t get a nasty surprise.

Three new US destinations join Swoop’s network. – This is great news once U.S.-Canadian travel opens up again. St Pete, Orlando, and San Diego are popular beach destinations for Canadians, but this also gives Americans a low-cost avenue to visit Canadian cities.
