If you haven’t heard of the NowBoarding Podcast, you should check it out. The podcast is an opportunity to learn about your favorite bloggers from Boarding Area. The host is Ed from the Pizza In Motion blog and Miles To Go Podcast. My interview with Ed released today, and it was so much fun to record.

What is the NowBoarding Podcast?
The NowBoarding Podcast was recently launched as a way for listeners to get to know the Boarding Area bloggers in about a half an hour. Ed dives into the history of the blog and uncovers what inspires people to write. At the end of the show, you’ll learn all about the guest’s favorites – vacation, credit card, airline, and hotel – plus a place that’s on their bucket list.
Even though I know many of my fellow bloggers on Boarding Area, I’ve learned tidbits I didn’t know about my friends.
Here are some of the early episodes of the NowBoarding Podcast:
- Gilbert Ott of God Save the Points
- Jeanne Hoffman of Le Chic Geek
- Brian Cohen of The Gate
- Angelina Aucello of Angelina Travels
- Tiffany Funk of One Mile At A Time
And, of course, I’d love it if you listened to episode #10, which is my episode of the NowBoarding Podcast.
Take a listen when you get a chance. Or you can subscribe via iTunes.
What we covered in my podcast episode
During my episode of the NowBoarding Podcast, we talked about what started my love of travel, why I started my blog, and when I joined the Boarding Area family. Big shout out to Angelina for introducing me to Randy!
Ed and I also talked about the joys (and tribulations) of family travel and what it’s like to travel solo with young children.
Some of my favorite trips so far have been:
Taking a $12,000 Italian vacation with my wife for only $1200 + miles & points
Visiting Grand Cayman with my son, Timothy. We saw Stingray City, Starfish Beach, swam with turtles and stayed at the new Kimpton Seafire Resort.
And taking my first solo trip with my daughter, Scarlett, to Milwaukee in January 2017 just before she turned two to stay at the new Kimpton Journeyman.
The We Travel There Podcast
During my episode of the NowBoarding Podcast, we also talked about my upcoming show, the We Travel There Podcast. My show revolves around interviewing local experts from cities around the world to uncover the best things to see/eat/do/drink when you visit from a local’s point of view. The goal is to go beyond the common tourist attractions so you can form a deeper bond with the city and have a better travel experience.
Here’s a map of the cities that we’ve recorded, are about to, or are working to schedule. If you’d like to be a guest, please complete this form.
The Bald Thoughts
Thank you for listening to my episode of the NowBoarding Podcast. I really enjoyed sharing more about myself and my travel philosophy. And I look forward to sharing the best tips and tricks from locals when my We Travel There Podcast releases in September 2018.
