I wanted to send a quick reminder that we are having our bi-monthly travel meetup on Thursday, December 5th at 6 p.m. Join us for excellent food with friends as we chat about the latest news in the travel and rewards world.

Where is the meetup?

We rotate our Nashville travel meetup around the city to explore new places and patronize some of our favorites. For December 2019, we’re meeting at Mission BBQ at the Opry Mills Simon Mall.

Since it is at the mall, there is usually plenty of parking. However, because it is the holidays and people haven’t quite figured out that online shopping earns more rewards (ie: TopCashBack, MrRebates), parking may be a challenge.

Does it cost anything to attend?

There is no cost to attend our meetups. We do not charge anything to attend, and we try to pick places that do not have a cover charge.

However, we do want to respect the places we visit. So, it is recommended that you at least buy a drink or something to eat to show appreciation for them allowing us to meet at their location.

On the flip side, because we don’t charge admission, we also do not provide any food or drinks. Bring your favorite credit card (preferably one with a bonus for dining) to pay for your purchases.

Jason and I visited Mission BBQ recently. The brisket sandwich is amazing!

How do I sign up?

We don’t require you to sign up to attend. However, we want to make sure we reserve enough tables, so please join the Music City Miles & Points Facebook Group.

Once you join, you’ll be able to RSVP for the meetup and be the first to know when the next meetup date and location is announced.

Can I bring other people?

Yes. Feel free to invite your friends and family to attend. They can also join the Facebook Group to be alerted when we schedule future events or to ask questions about traveling from Nashville.

We also tend to pick kid-friendly locations since my kids are usually with me. They’re 8 and 4 years old, so kids of any age are welcome. Although teenagers would probably rather be cruising the mall instead of listening to the adults nerd out on miles and points discussions.

The Bald Thoughts

We hope you can join us on Thursday, December 5th at 6 p.m. There is no charge to attend and the food is so delicious. If you need to hit a minimum spend, the Simon Mall desk is just a 3-minute walk away.

If you can’t make it this month, we’ll see you in 2020!
