Kimpton Inner Circle members receive one free night each year that they can use at participating new hotels. The Kimpton Hotel Fontenot new hotel free night benefit is now available in New Orleans. You can book your free night from August through December 2020.

What is the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot?

The Kimpton Hotel Fontenot is one of the most recent Kimpton hotels opening this year. It was previously known as the Hotel Poydras and underwent renovation as it joined the Kimpton portfolio of hotels. The hotel originally opened in March 2020, but closed for a brief time due to coronavirus travel restrictions. It is now open for reservations beginning May 15, 2020.

The hotel is built on a “musical legacy equal parts tradition and improvisation.” It follows the Crescent City pattern of creating something contemporary and new out of something historic with character.

There are 202 guest rooms and suites at the Hotel Fontenot. Suites include a one-bedroom suite and Presidential Suite, and both are over 500 square feet.

As usual, the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot offers all of the usual amenities that you love:

  • Hosted evening social hour
  • Morning coffee + tea service
  • 24-hour fitness center, including Peloton bicycles
  • Complimentary WiFi for IHG Rewards Club Members
  • Minibar with gourmet local treats
  • Luxurious Frette linens
  • In-room yoga mats
  • In-Room Dining
  • Loaner bikes
  • Pet amenities
  • Valet Parking
  • Concierge Service

And, of course, the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot is pet-friendly with no extra charge or security deposit for bringing your animal companion with you.

Where is the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot?

The Hotel Fontenot is located in the Central Business District of New Orleans. Its address is 501 Tchoupitoulas St, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130. The hotel’s phone number is 504-571-1818 if you want to speak to someone at the hotel.

You can walk to the convention center, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and the Smoothie King Center. For those who are familiar with New Orleans, the Hotel Fontenot is next to the trendy Warehouse District, which is an artsy hot spot filled with museums and good food. The popular French Quarter and Bourbon Street are less than a mile away.

Kimpton Inner Circle new hotel free night benefit

Kimpton Inner Circle members can use their annual new hotel free night benefit at the Hotel Fontenot. The Kimpton Hotel Fontenot new hotel free night benefit is available for stays from August 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020.

Opening night rates are around $150 for standard room. You can also book an award night for 35,000 points. Since the price is below 40,000 points, the Chase IHG credit card annual free night can also be used here.

With prices so low, I would save my points for when rates are higher. If you’re planning to stay at the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot beyond the Inner Circle free night benefit, I’d pay cash for any additional nights.

There are now four hotels available to use your annual free night certificate. Which one will you choose?

The Bald Thoughts

Getting a free night in New Orleans sounds like a great way to get away with Anna. We’re not ready to travel yet, but that’s ok because the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot new hotel free night benefit is available through December 31, 2020. I miss the great jazz and incredible food from Bourbon Street. And it would be awesome to see Drew Brees play another football game for the Saints before he retires.

Will you be using your Inner Circle new hotel free night benefit at the Hotel Fontenot?
