I’m all about using miles and points when I travel (and upgrades due to status), but finding something fun and interesting will eventually convince me to book one of these units. Your Amtrak points might expire on July 1: Here’s how I used 80 points to keep mine. – First of all, I hate that some loyalty programs expire your points after a period of time. It’s bad enough that they are constantly devaluing their points and miles, but making them disappear is even worse. This is one of the reasons why it pays to pick one hotel brand and focus your travels with it. You’ll earn & receive more benefits and they’ll take better care of you… even if it means that you have to spend a few more bucks a night picking your new “fave hotel brand” over others that are a little bit cheaper.
