Get a ‘Backstage’ Peek at the Colosseum As Underground Levels Open to Tourists for the First Time. – Visiting the Colosseum during our Rome trip a few years ago was one of the highlights of our $12,000 romantic Italy vacation (that only cost $1,200). I’d love to go back to Italy and explore the underground levels of the Colosseum. What’s your favorite thing to do in Italy?

If your checked bag arrives late, the DOT thinks you should be guaranteed a refund. – Hopefully, this rule goes into effect. I hate checking bags because of the fees that airlines charge and because of the uncertainty if your bag will arrive on time. 11 Hidden Natural Wonders in the United States. – The U.S. is such a large and diverse country, you could spend your entire life traveling across America and not see it all. The kids and I visited Lost River Cave during our Christmas Break trip to Bowling Green. The natural caves in this area are spectacular.

29 Children’s Books That Will Teach Your Kids About the World. – Inspiring my kids to reach and teaching them about the world are two of my goals as a parent. I love that this list has books for a variety of ages, so you can find a couple that will be just right for your kid.

Spain Drops Vaccine Requirement for American Travelers. – As more of the world gets vaccinated, more and more of these rules will be eliminated or loosened. I still think that the best option is to get vaccinated to protect yourself and those who cannot get vaccinated, then you can travel freely without any worry.
