The Morning Shave
Bankruptcy court approves Aeromexico reorganization. – It’s good that we’re not losing this Mexican airline, however, who knows what cost-cutting measures that Apollo, the Private Equity company that is now its largest shareholder, will implement. Delta took a major haircut in its ownership stake as well.
Disney World lifts indoor mask requirements for vaccinated guests. – Yet another reason to get vaccinated. If you want to visit the mouse without wearing a mask, get your Fauci Ouchie and head on down to Florida. In all seriousness, I see more and more countries/destinations/businesses reducing or eliminating COVID rules. As more people get vaccinated and hospital beds open up, there is less desire to have such broad-stroke rules in place.
Trying our luck: Catching the Wave lottery. – The “wave” is one of the most magical destinations on Earth. Because of the damage that over-tourism can bring to such delicate attractions, passes are limited and are issued via a lottery system. Under these rules, there are no more than 64 visitors allowed per day. Of these passes, 48 are issued online and the final 16 are issued the same day during an in-person lottery.
You can book a Virgin Galactic spaceflight tomorrow. – If you’re ready to experience “space” flight and have $450,000 available, you can book your 90-minute journey to the edge of space. Don’t worry if you don’t have all of the money right now. You only need to put down $150,000 now, then pay the rest later.
These 10 Five-star Hotels Around the World Cost Less Than $40 Per Night. – Most of these locations are in Asia and Eastern Europe, so if you want to visit these parts of the world and love to be spoiled, you can do so on the cheap. With prices so cheap, there’s no reason to use miles and points to book your hotel. Instead, focus on earning miles to get there and cash back or flexible currencies to pay for your room.
