The Morning Shave

Japan Could Boot Tourists Who Disobey COVID-19 Rules. – Some countries are very strict when it comes to COVID rules. As much as they want our tourism dollars, they don’t want visitors to spread the virus among their locals and shut down their economy. The best option: understand local rules, and if you don’t agree with them, pick another destination that is more aligned with your opinions.

Delta considers letting top-tier elites skip the lounge line. – As more people start traveling, airport lounge operators are starting to realize that they may have overdone it with who they’re giving access to (ex: credit cards). To counter overcrowding and long lines, they’re giving their best customers priority over everyone else. Even if you don’t like the rule, you have to agree that it makes total sense.

Hopper Will Let Customers Pay a Fee to Leave the Hotel After Check-In for Any Reason. – Normally, the best option is to book your hotel directly to ensure that you get stay credit, points, and elite status benefits. However, if you don’t care about status or when you’re booking an independent hotel, consider using an app like Hopper. This benefit holds hotels accountable for having clean rooms, delivering on their promises, and ensuring that the guest has a good stay.

Complimentary hot breakfast is back, and hotels strive to deliver. – During our recent California trip, there was “hot” breakfast at the Residence Inn, but it was limited to individually wrapped breakfast sandwiches. Big letdown. I was totally craving a fresh waffle from the machine. So, while many hotels are bringing back hot breakfasts, your mileage may vary when it comes to what options are available.

Will Flying Too Much Hurt Your Sex Life? – Interesting hypothesis about anxiety and cramped spaces affecting your health. Or maybe this Doctor is just trying to justify paying for business or first class on all of his trips? Either way, I’m always looking for ways to book premium cabin travel whenever I can. And being spoiled in the air can certainly help you arrive relaxed, refreshed, and in a good mood.
