The Morning Shave

Man Busted For Using Rodents To Scam Free Hotel Rooms. – What a lowlife. Apparently, someone needs to teach him about using airline miles and hotel points so he can travel using rewards instead of cash. Heck, you can even earn airline miles with your savings account now.

This Canadian Ski Resort Wants to Take Valentine’s Day to New Heights With Its Chairlift Speed Dating. – Cool concept. If nothing else, you already know your potential date like skiing or snowboarding like you do. Although, it may be tough to know if there’s an attraction if they’re wearing a helmet and goggles.

The Super Bowl on points: Best secret in sports, perhaps in all of credit cards. – You may find better uses of your miles and points, but the Super Bowl is an extremely unique event. I like that these packages don’t just include tickets to the game, but extra goodies that are hard to place a value on. I would love to redeem for this package at least once in my lifetime.

Global Tourism Takes Major Hit From Coronavirus. – The details (that we know of) are incredible. Thirty airlines canceled 25,000 flights this week. Chinese hotel occupancy plummeted 75%. And 7,000 people are quarantined on two cruise ships. Scientists are working hard to control the virus, but we don’t know when (or if) the virus can be controlled and what the ultimate impact will be on travel, the economy, and people.

Bakkt aims to turn your rewards points into a wallet you can spend anywhere. – Interesting concept. It will all depend on what the valuation is for the miles and points that they want you to spend. As it is now, you can redeem Amex MR, Chase UR, Citi ThankYou points, and Capital One miles for a penny each if you need cash or statement credits.
