Flying Blue June 2019 promotion

For the month of June, Flying Blue is running two promotions – one for Economy awards and one for Business Class.

Travelers can benefit from a 50% discount on standard Economy award bookings. I found standard economy flights as low as 29,000 Flying Blue miles each way. The city pairs must be between:

  • Atlanta (ATL) and Europe
  • Houston (IAH) and Europe

If luxury is more your style, a 25% discount on standard Business Class flights is available. I found Business Class flights as low as 58,000 miles each way. Eligible city pairs are between:

  • Chicago (ORD) and Europe
  • Montreal (YUL) and Europe
  • Edmonton (YEG) and Europe

To take advantage of this promotion, your flights must be booked in the month of June for travel during August or September 2019.

The Bald Thoughts

Transferring miles with a bonus is nice, but what are you going to do with them? It makes no sense to transfer Venture Miles to Flying Blue if you don’t have a trip in mind. With the Flying Blue promotion happening at the same time, June is an ideal time to transfer miles and book flights to Europe. Even if you aren’t in one of the North American departure cities, you might be able to find a positioning flight inexpensively on Southwest, Spirit, or JetBlue. You can pay for those flights with your Capital One Venture or Spark Miles then erase the purchase with your points.

Are you taking advantage of this Capital One 20% transfer bonus promotion? Which European city will you fly to? Let us know in the comment section below.
