The Morning Shave

Luxembourg becomes first country to make all public transport free. – I love this idea. More locals and tourists should use public transportation to reduce pollution, save money, and reduce traffic. I hope that other countries will take these kinds of steps.

The Best and Worst Airports If You’re Always Running Late. – Glad to see our home airport of Nashville on the list! Our family is totally guilty of running late all of the time. If you’re a parent of young kids, you know that getting them ready, hitting the potty 5 times before leaving, and forgetting their favorite “stuffy” is totally a thing. This is one of the reasons why we love Global Entry, TSA Precheck, and CLEAR so we can skip the wait at security lines to get to our gate as quickly as possible.

8 Cruise Ship Myths You Shouldn’t Believe. – Cruises get a bad rap, but they can be a great way to travel and see several locations for one price. We haven’t been on a cruise in more than a decade, so it may be time to take one as a family. I’m sure the kids would love to take one.

Amtrak Launches New Ultralow Fares. Is There a Catch? – Amtrak is a great way to explore the country without worrying about driving or flying. And with fares as low as $9, it is hard to beat! Amtrak’s version of “Basic Economy” just means that you can’t make changes to your itinerary or get a refund. No biggie when the fares are so cheap. Thanks to reader, Larry, for sharing this deal.

This Is Why Airplanes Make Weird Noises Before Take-off. – My wife is usually asleep and the kids are focused on their iPads, but I hear these weird noises before the plane takes off. Basically, it is just the pilots checking all of the gear to make sure that everything is in working order. The last thing you want is to find out something isn’t working while in mid-flight. Not much you can do about it then.
