Normally, when loyalty programs change benefits, it is for the worse. So, this is a welcome relief. Will these changes make you more or less likely to book with Hilton?

Air Canada Launches Status Matching Program to Encourage American Visitors. – With Canadian travel an option again, who is ready to visit our neighbor to the north? Even if you don’t plan on traveling to Canada any time soon, it is wise to snag this elite status if you can qualify. Air Canada has plenty of worldwide partners that you might be able to use your benefits with. <<hint, hint>>

Long Hold Times? Chat With These Airlines via Text. – I usually go to Twitter or the airline’s mobile app when hold times are too long. It is good to know that you can text the airlines too. This is something that I didn’t even know existed.

Blue Diamond properties officially join Marriott’s Autograph Collection. – Marriott Bonvoy members now have a new portfolio of properties to book and redeem points at. All 20 of these properties are all-inclusive, which makes them even more attractive. Since I have so many Marriott free night certs to use, I’ll have to see if any of these are 35,000 points or less per night.

With 40% Of TSA Screeners Unvaccinated, Airports May Soon Start Melting Down. – When they’re exposed to so many travelers from all over the world, it boggles my mind that they wouldn’t want to get vaccinated. It seems that we’re going to have one tough situation after another until we can get enough people vaccinated against the virus.
