The Morning Shave

The Most Beautiful Place in Every U.S. State. – Some of these lists are just a boring rehash of marketing materials or completely obvious (eg: Grand Canyon), but I still look through them for inspiration while traveling. Sometimes, you’ll find a hidden gem that’s just outside a city that you’re traveling to so you can make a quick detour to experience it firsthand. Have you visited any of these incredible destinations?

American Airlines off-peak awards to Europe for 45,000 miles round-trip. – If you’ve been accumulating airline miles the past couple of years while not traveling, now may be the time to book a flight. This is a pretty amazing use of your American Airlines miles if Europe is on your list. You’ll save 25% off your tickets this fall.

This Online Directory Shows You Every City Willing to Pay You to Move There. – Are you thinking about moving, but unsure where to go? Here’s a list of cities and states that will pay you to move there. The money you get could help pay for your down payment or cover your moving costs. I know a few friends who have used these offers and they love it. Would you consider moving to one of these cities?

Marriott to open group’s first luxury safari lodge in Africa. – Although it’s a bummer that Marriott just moved to a dynamic pricing model for free night redemptions, maybe this will cheer you up? They’re opening their first luxury safari lodge in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve in 2023. Save up your points, because I’m sure it will be expensive… but also totally worth it.

These Airlines No Longer Require Masks on Flights. – As COVID becomes endemic, airlines and countries are starting to adjust their rules. At this point, most people are either vaccinated or have some immunity after recovering from an infection, which reduces the risk for everyone. While some countries still require masks in-flight, when airlines reach international waters, they may have the ability to change rules on mask-wearing until you reach your destination.

  1. I grabbed a MCO/FCO Feb 2023 for 90k RT 2 pax $73pp tax. Segs on BA were available with $370pp tax/fees but with a very short connection in LHR outbound and a crappy schedule on the return.

    • Have a great time on your trip! Yeah, those taxes on BA metal are enough to make you choke. And it can be such a pain going between terminals at Heathrow. Thanks for sharing. I need to figure out some potential destinations to see if I can get the ok from the boss (aka my wife) for this deal.
