The Hilton Amex Business is now back with a 125k offer. This is a tricky offer to find, but absolutely worth the workaround! I was able to find it, apply, and was approved! However, I was given the “pending approval” at first. I then called the American Express Reconsideration Line because you are limited to 5 open American Express credit cards at one time. When I closed one of my open accounts, I was approved immediately.

Hilton Amex Business 125k Offer!

Here are the quick and easy steps to receive the 125,000 Hilton Honors bonus offer.

Step 1: Dummy Reservation

Go to Hilton.com and start a reservation, doesn’t matter where or for how long. Go all the way to the payment page and you will see this. Click the horribly highlighted yellow section.

Step 2: The tricky part

You will then arrive at this screen. It even took me a few seconds to realize I wasn’t at the right part just yet. Be sure to click business in the top right corner, and it will lead you to the offer!

Hilton Amex Business Card Review

Like I said, I was approved after a phone call with Amex. It was so exciting to receive such a huge bonus offer!

Here’s a quick summary of the card offer.

  • 125k Hilton Honors points after $3,000 spend in 3 months. ($750 value)
  • $100 statement credit after first purchase. There is a $95 annual fee so it ends up being a $5 profit.
  • 12x points on Hilton purchases.
  • 6x points at Restaurants, Gas Stations, Shipping, Wireless Phone Bills, and Select Travel.
  • 3x on everything else
  • Priority Pass Select

The Bald Thoughts

Some of you may be saying, “Well I don’t have a business so I can’t get a business card right?” And my quick answer is, “many of us have businesses and don’t even know it!”

Do you sell stuff on Amazon or Facebook Marketplace? Do you consult on travel for your friends and family as my wife and I do?

If you do anything of the related, you do have a business, regardless of income level. Here is a guide about how to get a business credit card.

Let us know if you were able to find that 125k offer!

    • Hey Jeff! You do not need to pay for the hotel. Once you get to the payment screen, you will be served with a small ad for a hilton personal card. Click that, and then continue on with your credit card application. You do not need to actually make the full reservation.

  1. Not quite getting it, but haven’t booked a Hilton before. I’m up to step 4 of 5, where I enter my credit card info, and the next button is green and reads “Book Reservation”. I don’t use an Adblocker, and I assume page 5 of 5 is a confirmation screen.

  2. Thanks Brett. My wife went to apply (her 5th Amex card) and go the new “Based on your history….. you are not eligible for the bonus. Do you with to proceed”? message. I was surprised, as she’s never had this card before, but did open two Amex Delta Platinum cards in March this year. But she has probably had about 11 or 12 Amex card sign up bonuses in last 4 years. That’s my guess as to why the decline – just too much activity in general. thoughts?

I liked your podcast appearance on with Ed Pizza recently – that introduced me to your blog.

    • Rich, thanks for listening to the podcast and checking out the site. I’m Lee, the guy who was on the podcast and founder of the site. Brett writes articles on a regular basis.

The warning signal is a tough call. Both Brett and I have the maximum number of Amex credit cards (5), but neither of us received that message when we recently applied. Instead, our apps went pending and we had to call in to Amex customer service to agree to close an existing card in order to get our applications approved.

I think you’re right. Banks are getting smarter every day and they are adding more restrictions to keep people from getting too many bonuses. Let us know how things turn out for you!

      • Thanks Lee. We’ve decided to lay low for her on Amex Apps for 6 months and will probably put some spending on one of her Amex Cards to be a better customer. Her Amex MR points are getting us to Australia in first/biz class in 2019 so we want to maintain a long term relationship here.

    • Rich, thanks for reading!

I actually have 6 cards in total with Amex. 3 personal cards, 2 business, and then the amex platinum which is considered a charge card.

In reference to that alert of already receiving the bonus, that is a bit odd. I have both the hilton ascend and now the hilton business and was never served any message like that. That is a bit weird.

One thing amex does best (as to why im loyal to them) is their customer service is pretty solid. 9/10 in my book. I’d give them a call and maybe you can get some answers from them as to why that happened.

If I can ever be of assistance with any other questions, please do not hesitate to email me at brett@baldthoughts.com
