This year was one of the best ski seasons on record in California thanks to the heavy rains in January and February. The snowpack was so deep that the Mammoth Mountain ski season extended into August! Unfortunately, the fun has to end sometime, so Mammoth Mountain is closing for the season on August 6, 2017. This is your last chance to ski Mammoth Mountain in August.

Last Chance to Ski Mammoth Mountain in August
There are only a few more days left to ski Mammoth Mountain in August. Each year, Mammoth Mountain is usually open until 4th of July, which is already awesome considering most mountains close in April. But, due to the massive amounts of snow that we were blessed with, the last chance to ski Mammoth Mountain in August is this weekend. The slopes will close on August 6, 2017, for the remainder of the season.
