Hotel Worker Strikes Update: Arrests and Contract Settlements.
While there remain over 3,800 workers still on strike, many local unions have reached agreements and are voting to ratify the new contracts. Until the contracts are in place, it’s still possible that your travel plans will be disrupted or suffer from reduced service. And some guests at the affected hotels have “reported disruptions during their stays, including loud chanting from the picket lines.”

With this limited-time promotion, eligible AAdvantage members can earn bonus points for booking a premium cabin flight before the end of the year. Reports indicate the bonuses are as high as 20,000 miles, and these extra miles are in addition to what you’ll earn from the flight. I logged into my AA.com account, but I wasn’t targeted. However, I was targeted with a bonus of up to 15,000 Loyalty Points based on my AA credit card spending through February 2025.

Clear launches new paid VIP option for curb-to-gate service.
Clear is an excellent investment for travelers who hate waiting in lines. And it pairs really well with TSA PreCheck to expedite your path through airport security. The latest offerings of Curb-to-Clear and Curb-to-Gate are launching with price tags of $49 and $149 per person. They’ll initially launch at Dulles International Airport (IAD) near Washington, D.C. and Denver International Airport (DEN), but will then soon expand to Orlando International Airport (MCO) later this month. Remember that these prices are per-use rather than the annual fees you’re used to paying.
