LAX Smart Bathrooms
Now, it seems like LAX Airport officials are trying something new to help passengers get in and out of the bathroom quickly. Starting Wednesday, April 4, 2018, LAX smart bathrooms will operate in Terminal 4.
What are Smart Bathrooms?
They are no Japanese bidets you might find in Haneda or Narita airport but they do feature a new technology which helps identify which bathroom stalls are being occupied. In addition, every time a passenger uses the bathroom and locks the door, a sensor sends information to airport staff to notify when bathrooms need to be cleaned.
The Bald thoughts
LAX is one of the busiest airports in the United States and my airport I fly out of. It’s great to hear airport officials thinking of passengers needs when flying to or out of LAX. Airport officials haven’t announced when other terminals will follow suit but I hope it doesn’t take too much time to see smart bathrooms across all terminals in LAX.
