There are many hotel award search tools such as AwardMapper, PEX+, and Hotel Hustle. Each site shares features but at the end of the day, Hotel Hustle is the clear winner.

What Is Hotel Hustle?
Simply, Hotel Hustle is a hotel award search tool that searches for award nights at nine of the major hotel chains with one click.
Hotel Hustle includes great features such as:
- What award rooms are available for your specified dates
- List or map search results
- Number of points needed for an award night
- Cash cost for the room
- Value you are getting for your points (cents per point)
- Alerts if your room becomes available at a later time
Hotel Hustle shows results from the following hotel chains:

How to Use Hotel Hustle
Searching for a Hotel on Hotel Hustle
Your results will be filtered by “Hustle Hotness”, value (cents per point), cash price, points price, and cash and points price. “Hustle Hotness” is a 1-5 star rating system based on the overall value of the redemption. Results are automatically filtered by their overall value (“Hustle Hotness”) and you can zoom in on a specific region to adjust the search area to your desired location.
Hotel Hustle Alerts
In order to create an alert you must have a Wandering Aramean account, click here to sign up. The alert feature is a great time saver as there is no need to keep checking the hotel’s website for availability.
Booking a Stay Using Hotel Hustle
Before we book any stay, we always check the ratings and reviews from TripAdvisor to see what the latest guests have to say about the property.
After you click on the name of the hotel you will be redirected to the hotel’s website. You will complete the booking from there.
The Bald Thoughts
Using Hotel Hustle can quite literally save you hours when looking into hotel availability, I used it for a recent trip to San Francisco and saved both time and hotel points. The only complaint I have is it takes longer to search with Hotel Hustle than it does with other hotel award search tools. The extras that Hotel Hustle offers, however, make it well worth the wait.
Does anyone have experience with Hotel Hustle?
I tried a few searches on it and didn’t find anything meaningful.
One feature it lacks, is selecting a specific area of the city. If you put in New York, you get locations in Queens, New Jersey, etc. It would be nice to restrict the search to Manhattan. Otherwise it seems like a good tool.
I will continue to run searches when I am looking to book. Thanks for suggesting this tool.
Hey John, unfortunately many of the online tools don’t drill down to specific neighborhoods like that. What I’ve found useful is zooming in on a specific area of the city you want, then the results will also narrow down only for the area that you’re looking at.
John,
That is a good point. You have to zoom-in on the Manhattan area and look at your options from there. It is a little inconvenient, but the extra options such as cents per point (CPP) and Hustle Hotness makes it worth it to me. I hope that “specific region” searching is a feature that is added to the application soon.
