Finnair Plus to Join Avios Loyalty Program.

If you collect Avios, like I do, your points just got more valuable. Finnair Plus is joining the Avios Loyalty Program, offering even more options to redeem your points for free flights. In 2024, the airline will join British Airways, Qatar Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and Vueling to earn and redeem points on flights.

Deal alert: Widespread availability to Europe, nonstop flights for less than $500.

Many people want to visit Europe, but flights are often too expensive. With this flight deal, you can fly there for less than $500 from many cities across the U.S. Departure dates range from September 2023 through March 2024. You may be able to book a Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas or Spring Break vacation on the cheap.

Hilton rebrands Cancun resort, starts taking reservations.

This property makes nine all-inclusive Hilton options in the Caribbean and Latin America. The Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe is expected to open in November 2023 with 540 guestrooms, including 81 suites with up to 1,000 feet of indoor and outdoor living space. Some even have private plunge pools or a whirlpool with direct beach access. Points rates are not yet listed, but cash rates start at $457 per night for two guests.

IHG Seeks to Convert Current Hotels to New Midscale Brand.

IHG is launching the Garner brand to cater to budget-minded travelers who want to save money by doing without all of the amenities of an upscale hotel. It hopes to convert at least 100 of its existing properties to kickstart the brand and continue its expansion.
