I’ve had the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard for several years now. I love how it provides complimentary access to Admirals Club airport lounges for me and my authorized users. Normally, this travel rewards credit card earns 2x miles with American and 1x miles everywhere else. But, with this targeted offer, I can earn up to 2,500 AAdvantage miles on eligible purchases.

Benefits of the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard

For frequent fliers of American Airlines, this premium travel credit card offers a lot of value. Cardholders of the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard receive the following benefits:

  • 50,000 bonus miles after spending $5,000 in three months
  • Admirals Club entrance for you and immediate family members or 2 guests
  • Up to 10 complimentary authorized users
  • Authorized users also have free entry to the Admirals Club
  • Up to $100 reimbursement for Global Entry or TSA Precheck application fees
  • Priority check-in, screening, and boarding
  • First checked bag free for you and up to 8 travel companions
  • In-flight savings of 25% on food and beverages
  • Earn 10,000 EQMs after spending $40,000 each year
  • No foreign transaction fees

With such a hefty annual fee, you have to ask yourself if this premium travel credit card worth $450 per year. For my situation, with so many American Airlines flights out of Nashville, I think so.

Citi AAdvantage 5x Targeted Offer

I received a mailer from Citibank offering 5x miles on purchases. My card will earn up to 2,500 bonus miles on these purchases. With an average value of 1.4 cents per mile, that’s a bonus worth $35.

The 5x miles are available on purchases at the following places:

  • Restaurants
  • Grocery stores
  • Gas stations
  • Drugstores
  • Mass transit
  • Commuter transportation

To qualify, I had to activate by April 15, 2020, and complete my spending by May 31, 2020.

With a cap of 2,500 miles, that equates to only $500 in spending. Although the spending limit is fairly low, it is great to earn an extra 2,000 miles on purchases I was going to make anyway.

Signing up for this targeted offer

Signing up for this targeted offer was very simple. I went to specialoffers.citicards.com/aadvantage and entered the invitation number from the letter that I received. It was a one-click enrollment, and I did not have to enter my credit card number.

Alternatively, you can also call 800-784-2484 and provide your credit card information and invitation number.

Once I enrolled online, I received the following confirmation message.

The Bald Thoughts

Have you received this targeted bonus offer from American Airlines? I have the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard, but I wonder this targeted offer is available on other AAdvantage cards as well. Since the activation link is generic for AAdvantage cards, I think that other American Airlines credit cards might also be targeted.

Have you received this targeted bonus offer? If so, will you use it? Please let us know in the comments below.
