I’m excited to announce that I’ve been chosen as one of the speakers at the 8th annual Chicago Seminars 2017 in October! The Chicago Seminars is an annual event where some of the best and brightest minds in travel share their tips and tricks to both beginner and advanced travelers. Registration is open now for this can’t miss event.
What is the Chicago Seminars 2017?
The Chicago Seminars 2017 is an annual event that is held in a suburb of Chicago each year. This year will be the 8th year that travel enthusiasts join for a weekend of fun, education, and networking. The content is beneficial for experienced travel hackers and newbies looking to book their first trip using miles and points.
The Chicago Seminars 2017 schedule
The Chicago Seminars 2017 schedule starts Friday afternoon. Registration starts at 4 pm and is open through 8 pm on Friday, but this year there will be small group credit card breakout discussions for those who will arrive early.
The sessions are from 5 pm through 8:30 pm Friday night. After the sessions are over on Friday night, most people will have a few drinks and dinner at the on-site bar and continue talking travel… saying Hi to old friends and making new ones.
On Saturday, registration is open again from 8 am to 12 noon. Sessions begin at 8:30 am and run through lunch at noon. After an hour break for lunch and networking, the sessions continue through 6:15 pm. A happy hour reception from 7 pm to 8 pm is also included.
Sunday also offers a full day of learning and networking beginning at 8 am. The final session ends at 4 pm Sunday afternoon. Many people end up leaving a little early on Sunday so that they can get home in time for work Monday morning.

Where will the Chicago Seminars 2017 be held?
Each year the Chicago Seminars are held at the Holiday Inn Elk Grove. Normally, the Holiday Inn Elk Grove is a 15,000 point per night hotel or rooms can be booked for around $100 a night. However, the Chicago Seminars organizers have reserved the entire hotel, so the only way to book a room is through their special link.
For guests staying at the Holiday Inn Elk Grove, breakfast is complimentary.
There is a shuttle available to and from Chicago O’Hare airport or the CTA Blue Line for $5 per person.
I’ll be staying at the Holiday Inn Elk Grove Friday and Saturday night so I can network more easily with the attendees and other speakers. Normally while in Chicago, I’ll stay at the Radisson Blu Aqua or one of the Kimpton Hotels, like Kimpton Gray Hotel.
How do I register for the Chicago Seminars 2017?
If you’re ready to register for the Chicago Seminars, registration is now open. Tickets are available via Eventbrite for $105 per person.
This fee includes access to all sessions, the Saturday evening happy hour, and lunch on both Saturday and Sunday.
I hope to see you there! If you do attend, please feel free to walk up and say hello. It would be great to discuss travel with you.
