U.S. Travel Prices Decline, Lead the Way for Overall Economy.

For the second month in a row, travel prices have decreased. Inflation is getting under control, and while prices still have a way to go, they are headed in the right direction. We have to be careful, though, to understand why prices are falling. Is it because the supply chain is returning to normal, or are businesses having to reduce prices to encourage customers to buy? The first is a good thing, while the second is a precursor to a recession.

Alaska Airlines Expands Flight Map Beyond West Coast.

When Alaska acquired Virgin many years ago, I assumed that was its first stage toward nationwide expansion. While it offers some flights across the country, Alaska is still primarily a West Coast airline. With this expansion, Alaska is adding 18 new routes, including stops in the Midwest and Central America. I hope that the airline continues to expand because it has an excellent loyalty program and great service.

The MGM Grand in Las Vegas is having ‘Friends’ over.

“Friends” premiered 30 years ago, yet Rachel, Ross and the rest of the gang are still popular among fans. And while it’s been a long time since the TV show went off the air, Vegas must realize that fans are now in their peak earning years and ready to drop some coin for an interactive experience.
