Radisson Brands Get a Refresh for the New Year.
Radisson is an excellent brand when traveling internationally, and there are a handful of amazing Radisson Blu properties in the U.S. However, many of the normal Radisson properties are tired and outdated, so this refresh is an excellent sign. It is wonderful to see Choice investing in these hotels after it acquired the brand in 2022.

These 10 airports take the thrill and excitement of travel to a whole ‘nother level. From short runways to daring descents, you need to experience these airports for yourself to understand how scary they can be. While there are a couple of airports on this list that I’ve used a lot (SNA, LGA), I’d love to check out some others. Have you flown to any of these airports?
Ski Patrol, Park City Mountain Reach Tentative Agreement to End Strike.
I’m happy to report that the Park City ski patrol strike is over. Awesome that they’ll receive higher wages, and the ski slopes can get back to normal for guests. With the current winter storm, I’m hopeful there will be significant snowfall for a great ski season.
Check your accounts: Why airlines are extending trip credits.
Airlines offer trip credits when canceling flights, during flight disruptions, or when overbooking a flight. They also serve as customer service awards to rectify unexpected situations. The bad news is that they tend to expire quickly, which can make them challenging to use for some travelers. If you’ve received airline trip credits recently, check their expiration date. You may find a pleasant surprise in your account!
Southwest Secures Sale-Leaseback Deal For 36 Boeing 737-800s.
During its investor day, Southwest Airlines announced a sale-leaseback transaction for 36 Boeing 737-800s. This allows the airline to sell some of its aircraft to generate cash, while still having access to the planes for up to three years. The transaction netted the airline $871 million in cash with a realized gain of $92 million.
