Using Your Phone as a Hotel Key Is Great Until It Isn’t.
I always sign up to get the digital key, but I prefer to use the physical key card instead. Having the digital version is a nice backup in case you lose your key or if it gets demagnetized. Plus, it’s a fun (and free) keepsake for the kids to document our travels.
Disney+ is becoming essential for trips to the Disney parks — here’s why.
Disney is great at marketing, and they really know how to tie visitors into their eco-system. We have Disney+ because the kids love to watch their shows. While the current list of perks expires in September, I’m sure that Disney will keep offering new benefits periodically to encourage people to sign up or keep paying.
Avis charged a customer $6,000 after claiming she drove a rental car 23,000 miles in 3 days, reports say.
Thanks to reader Mike B. for sharing this article. It’s crazy that Avis only relented on these charges once the media started writing about it. Simple math and common sense would realize that “she would have had to have driven at 310 miles an hour for 72 hours straight to hit that distance.”

Fall Travel Forecast: Will Fall Travel Be as Bad as Summer?
While there will be some slowdown as families return to school, fall is also a busy time for conferences and shoulder-season travel. Personally, I have two conferences to attend in September, and my kids have Fall Break in October. So, there’s still plenty of travel to be done before the holidays and ski season arrive. The big roadblock is that airlines are not training enough pilots to meet the demand. Because of that, I think that airlines are in for a rough time for the next few years.
