Hyatt is in talks with Playa Hotels & Resorts for possible acquisition.
Hyatt already owns almost 10% of Playa’s shares, so it isn’t a stretch to think that it would complete this acquisition to expand its reach. Playa currently owns or manages 24 resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. So, while this won’t bring Hyatt into new countries, it will extend its reach within those countries.
Can You Fly Without an ID?
After a loooonnnngggg delay, Real ID rules go into effect in May 2025. And the TSA will no longer offer alternative verification methods. JetBlue to Be Fined for Chronic East Coast Delays.
When I heard that an airline was fined for its delays, JetBlue wasn’t the first U.S. carrier that came to mind. I assumed that it would have been one of the ULC’s like Spirit, Allegiant, or Sun Country. However, when you review the data, you will see that JetBlue has a horrible record along the East Coast.
