The Morning Shave

Here’s how much flight attendants in 10 airlines say they make. – Flight attendants get some pretty sweet discounts on flights, but what kind of paychecks do they get? Keep in mind that they aren’t actually on the clock until the airplane door closes, which is pretty lame if you ask me. If you’re at work and actually working, you should be getting paid.

These Virtual Disney Rides Will Make Your Couch the Happiest Place on Earth. – When Disney is closed and you can’t bring the family to one of the Disney parks, check out these videos to bring Disney into your home. Even when the “shelter in place” orders are lifted, these videos are a great way to build excitement for a trip or take a virtual trip if your budget isn’t ready for $200 admission tickets per person.

The vanishing hotel front desk. – Hilton has done a remarkable job of automating the check-in and check-out process using virtual keys through its app. As someone with Diamond elite status, I always wondered whether or not I should check-in before arrival. If there’s no interaction with the front desk, how would I receive an upgrade that is part of my benefits? Same thing with vouchers for free breakfast in the morning. I’m sure Hilton is working on automating that part of the process as well.

New Golden Age For Frequent Flyers Is Just Around The Corner. – Gary is right. The airlines and hotels will be fighting over those who can/do travel once the coronavirus travel halt is over. Business travelers may be flying less thanks to teleconference technology. Personal travelers may be reluctant due to financial constraints or lingering fears. For those who are willing and able to travel, there could be some great opportunities to travel more, spend less, and live better.

How to Disinfect Your Suitcase. – I have a strong feeling most of us should have been doing this well before coronavirus came along. I’ve had some of my suitcases for years, and they have been put through the ringer. Lord knows what they’ve been exposed to during flights and as they’ve rolled down random streets across the world. If you feel that you’ve been anywhere near the coronavirus, I highly recommend disinfecting your suitcase just to be safe.
