How I Booked a Trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton on Points. – When many of us think of redeeming miles and points, international destinations are usually top of mind. But, the U.S. National Parks are simply incredible and travel rewards can make those vacations very affordable as well. If you’re going to Yellowstone, consider staying in West Yellowstone, where I experienced so many fun outdoor adventures and food that wow’d my taste buds.

Free Breakfast for the Masses – Hotels that Provide Everyone Complimentary Breakfast. – When traveling as a family, one of our biggest expenses is food and activities since most of our flight and stay costs are covered with miles and points. One of the ways we address this is by staying at hotels that include complimentary breakfast. Check out some of my other tips on how to save money on food while traveling.

Changes to Airline Point Expiration Policies Now That People Are Traveling Again. – Airlines and hotels were customer-friendly when it came to extending the life of your miles and points during the pandemic. The secret to getting the discontinued Ritz-Carlton credit card — and 4 reasons you need it. – I still regret closing the Ritz-Carlton credit card that I got back in 2014. With this workaround, I can trade in one of my existing cards and get the Ritz-Carlton card and unlock its benefits (albeit with a larger annual fee). Would you trade in one of your cards to get this one?

The Most Annoying Thing You Can Order on a Plane, According to a Flight Attendant. – Of all of the food and drinks that you can order on a plane, I would have never guessed it was this one. It’s a good thing that I don’t drink soda anymore.

  1. I have found that Choice Hotels in Norway and Sweden have substantially better breakfast offerings than those in the states. It almost seems a matter of pride by the hotelier to have such a tremendous offering–almost banquet proportions. In addition, at least as of a few years ago, there are some Choice hotels in Norway that offer free dinner along with the free breakfast (limited selection of entrees, but delicious).

    • That’s good to know. So awesome that some even include dinner! I’ve found that many international airlines and hotel locations offer much better service and amenities than their American counterparts.
