How to Get Scuba Certified for Your Next Vacation. – Getting SCUBA certified in the U.S. can be expensive and time consuming. But, when you’re on vacation, you’re already in the water and you can take advantage of lower rates at international destinations. I wish that I could get certified, but the last time I tried, I couldn’t equalize the pressure in my ears past 20 feet down.
Hilton hotel adds surcharge for using a credit card — Will this become a trend? – This weekend, many of the restaurants and businesses that I went to added a surcharge when using a credit card. This used to be illegal under credit card processing rules, but that rule was eliminated years ago. It is ironic that hotel brands want you to use their credit for every purchase to earn rewards and elite status, then turn around and charge you extra to actually use the card at their properties. Luckily, it seems that this hotel got its hand slapped and make to refund this traveler’s charges, but how many others were charged without complaining?
The 20 Best Scenic Drives in America. – Ready to travel, but not ready to fly just yet? Take one of these scenic drives and explore a bit of America. You’ll find amazing scenery and plenty of fun attractions along the way.
Disney World plans to reopen all hotels by year’s end. – If you’re ready for a Disney vacation, the Florida hotels will all be open by the end of this year. Time to start planning for your Christmas or Spring break vacations.
Frequent Flyer Petitions U.S. Supreme Court to End Mask Mandate on Airplanes. – There are so many things wrong with this scenario. Flying is not a right. It is a privilege. An airplane is just like a restaurant or any other business where you can be denied service if you don’t follow the rules. I understand that masks are a PITA. I’m vaccinated, and I don’t want to wear them either. But I do because 1) my kids can’t get vaccinated yet, 2) there are still too many unvaccinated people around, and 3) it is the law in the U.S. and numerous other countries (like Germany, where he wants to travel to).

Kind of Click bate title about Hilton…Moe honest would be one Hilton hotel added a credit charge surcharge.
Gary, the title says “Hilton Hotel” which signifies one hotel. Also, it’s the same wording used in the title of the original article that talks about the scenario that happened to a traveler. Just like cockroaches, if there’s one that you see, there are usually more hiding in the shadows. As more and more businesses try to pass along credit card charges to customers, you can bet that other hotels are 1) already passing along those fees or 2) going to try to in the future. Basically, it’s something that we all need to watch out for when booking rooms and when we receive our bill at checkout.
