Hyatt makes a big deal in Orlando.

Hyatt sold the Hyatt Regency Orlando for more than $1 billion. This property is one of the largest Hyatts, with more than 1,600 rooms available. Luckily, the hotel will continue to be part of the Hyatt portfolio. Additionally, the buyers of that property will also build a Grand Hyatt hotel next to the Regency. So, Hyatt gets some cash and another property added to its pipeline.

The 9 Tallest Observation Decks in the World.

Some people call these attractions gimmicky, but I think they’re fun to explore. The tours are cool because you can learn about the building’s history while seeing views that are only available to others who have visited there. Keep an eye out for discounts and promotions where you can save money. For example, on our Seattle podcast, Jon & Ben shared that you can get to the top of the Space Needle by booking brunch reservations.

Frontier’s Credit Card Has a New Perk That Skiers and Golfers Will Love.

Frontier is continuing its shift away from the ULCC model, where it charged for an array of add-ons to its low fares. Travelers who hold the airline’s credit card can now check two large bags for free, including golf or ski equipment. With Southwest shifting away from some of its customer-friendly policies, it seems like Frontier is making changes for the better at just the right time.

Back online: Air France and KLM award seats are bookable again through Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.

After fixing a technical glitch, loyalty club members can now book partner flights on Air France and KLM again. For those who are unaware, one of the benefits of having partner airlines is the ability to book flights on one airline using the miles/points from another. In some cases, there’s an opportunity to book flights cheaper or to avoid fuel surcharges than if you booked directly using the airline’s own rewards.
