Delta Air Lines Makes Big Changes to Basic Economy Fare. – Basic Economy fares just became MUCH worse on Delta. Not only will changes and cancellations be eliminated in North America starting in 2022, but these tickets will also stop earning SkyMiles or credit towards elite status. Bah Humbug!
Ghana airport will fine airlines if they bring unvaccinated passengers to the country. – Countries are starting to hold airlines accountable for transporting sick passengers to their airports. This makes sense when some countries don’t have adequate access to the vaccines and when their healthcare systems can’t handle additional sick patients. If more countries pursue this strategy, watch airlines become much more stringent on testing of passengers. Does this change affect your desire to book flights on Delta?

Hard Rock taking over and rebranding the Mirage in $1 billion deal. – The original Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas has a cool vibe, but it’s kind of an afterthought for many travelers because of its location off the Strip. With this deal, the hotel will be relocating to the Strip and plans to make some serious changes to the Mirage that I think most visitors will like. The guitar-shaped tower with the lights is an awesome touch. I can’t wait for it to be built!
