The FAA is finally looking into sweltering airplane cabins.
We’ve all been there before. Taking a summertime flight, and it feels like walking into an oven when you board. While I appreciate the airlines wanting to save on fuel during boarding, it makes for a completely uncomfortable passenger experience. Unfortunately, there aren’t any guidelines for how hot the cabin interior can get… so you just have to suck it up and deal with it until the plane turns on the A/C. Luckily, the FAA is starting to investigate and may issue guidance to avoid dangerous conditions for passengers.
Welcome to 2025. Here’s what’s going to happen in miles, points, and credit cards this year.

These Were the Most Punctual Airlines in 2024.
If you really need to get to your destination on time, there are certain airlines you need to avoid. While all airlines have delays and cancellations, this list highlights the airlines with the best on-time performance so you can avoid getting disappointed at the airport. Remember to book flights with one of the best airline credit cards to take advantage of their trip delay, cancellation, and interruption benefits in case your flight is affected.
Update: Seeming Choice Privileges Devaluation Was a Glitch, and Prices Went Back Down.
Initial reports indicated that Choice Privileges unleashed a devaluation without any notice. While airlines and hotels update their loyalty program earning and redemption options regularly, they usually announce it in advance. This gives members a chance to earn and redeem rewards before the new pricing kicks in. Luckily, this was just a glitch, but that doesn’t mean Choice won’t initiate changes later this year. As always, follow the LEE Method of Travel Hacking so you aren’t sitting on a pile of points that lose value over time.
