How to save money by buying discounted Disney gift cards.

Growing up, I had a super cheap Disney annual pass, which allowed me to visit the theme park almost every weekend. Now, Disney tickets are incredibly expensive, and many families save for years before booking a Disney vacation. Taking advantage of every trick available (like this one) can make the cost more affordable so you can continue creating lifelong memories with your kids.

United Airlines Will Now Text Passengers Live Weather Radar.

Something like this is so simple and easy for airlines to distinguish themselves from competitors. Yes, we can look up the weather using our mobile phones, but getting the information pushed to us helps to explain why our flights are delayed or what kind of weather we can expect at our destination. I hope other airlines, hotels, cruises and other travel providers take note and look to innovate to improve the traveler experience.

Is a U.S. National Park Pass Worth It?

One of the best values in travel is getting a U.S. National Park Pass. With 60+ National Parks and hundreds of federally run sites, you can get your money back quickly after just a couple of visits. And it’s an even better deal for seniors, who can buy a lifetime pass for just $80. Members of the military can also get a pass for free. Families with fourth graders can also get a free pass.

Travel Tip: Always Map the Hotel on Google.

Hotel websites often list “nearby” hotels as if they are within the city you’re searching for. If you’re not careful, you could book a hotel that is far away, difficult to get to, or simply nowhere near where you want to be. Think about what types of activities you’ll be doing during your trip, find them on the map, and then search for hotels nearby or at least a quick Uber or transit ride away. While you may save money or earn extra points staying at certain properties, it may not be worth the hassle.

British Airways Hikes American and Alaska Short-Haul Award Rates by up to 56%

For many years, booking short-haul, direct flights on American and Alaska using Avios was a hidden gem in the travel world. Unfortunately, British Airways has continued to chip away at this redemption’s value to the point where it is hardly worth it anymore. Now, Economy-class tickets start at 12,000 miles each way for flights under 650 miles. That’s the same price I paid for a ticket from SoCal to Hawaii years ago.
