Capital One Lounges vs. Centurion Lounges: Which Is Better?

Hitting the lounge before a flight is one of my favorite parts of travel. You get to enjoy a more relaxed environment with complimentary food, drinks and WiFi. Some lounges also offer massages, workout rooms and more. This article compares locations, ease of access, food & drink options, guest access and more.

This Is the Date You Should Book Your Holiday Flights by, According to Hopper.

While many of us are still in summer mode, wearing flip-flops and shorts, holiday travel is just around the corner. If you’re looking to book a flight for Thanksgiving, Christmas or NYE, you need to book by October 14th. Otherwise, prices will start to rapidly rise and quickly become unaffordable.

What Happens If You Bring a Prohibited Item Through Airport Security? We Asked the TSA.

Have you ever wondered what happens to the items that travelers leave behind or have confiscated at airport security? Sometimes you don’t realize you packed something you know you shouldn’t bring. Other times, it’s something you didn’t know was illegal. You may be able to return the item to your car or mail it home. For confiscated items, the TSA either disposes of them or auctions them off. Have you ever had to leave something at airport security? (Besides a water bottle or shampoo?)

TSA PreCheck Adds Two New Airlines.

If you hate waiting in long lines at airport security, you know the value of having TSA PreCheck. While there are many airlines that participate in this Trusted Traveler program, there are still plenty that do not. Two more airlines were recently added, which brings the total number of airlines closer to 100. The two latest entries are Caribbean Airlines and RED Air.

Exclusive: Amex shutters Centurion Lounge spas to add seating, combat overcrowding.

While it has been awhile since I was able to get a massage during a Centurion Lounge visit, I hate to see amenities being removed. It is nice that they’ll add more seating, but I argue that they could have more easily reconfigured the way chairs and tables are arranged to accomplish the same increase in capacity. The massage rooms occupy very little space within the lounges, and they’re only available at 3 locations, so this change won’t do much to resolve the overcrowding and wait time issue.
