Which Hotel Credit Cards Offer a Free Night?
Hotel credit cards offer bonus points on hotel stays, meals and other expenses during your visit. Many also include automatic elite status or a path to higher status based on your spending. My favorite benefit is the annual free night because it helps to justify the card’s annual fee and gives you another reason to book a vacation. Which hotel free night is your favorite?
United Airlines Launches Nonstop Flights to 8 New International Destinations.
United is launching eight new non-stop international flights from the U.S. as part of its 2025 schedule. Five flights depart from Newark, while the other three will be based out of Dulles. The destinations include Nuuk, Greenland; Palermo, Italy; Bilbao, Spain; Madeira Island, Portugal; Faro, Portugal; year-round service to Darak, Senegal; and seasonal nonstops to Nice, France, and Venice, Italy (which will officially launch in the spring).
FAA Issues Safety Alert Over 737 Rudders.
As if the Boeing 737 planes haven’t had enough bad news over the last few years, here comes more info you need to know. Apparently, the rudder can become frozen in certain situations, which can be dangerous for everyone on board.
Uber Is Launching a Shuttle Between Manhattan and LaGuardia Airport.
My parents used to book shuttles with SuperShuttle, and I tried it once as an adult. I hate these shuttle services because you may have to ride around while it drops off everyone else first. Now, Uber is getting into the game with its own shuttle service at an affordable cost of just $18 per person. While it’s cheaper than a taxi, I’d rather take the subway with its $2.90 fare if I want to save money. If you don’t already have an Uber account, please use my referral.
New benefits coming for AAdvantage and World of Hyatt elite members — at the expense of reciprocal earning privileges.
The world of miles & points gets more complicated by the day. While the previous partnership was pretty straightforward and benefited most members, it seems that the new rules are weighted very heavily towards frequent travelers. Although I don’t spend a lot of cash on flights and hotels (I use miles & points for most travel), it is frustrating to lose out on the dual-earning and have the benefits skewed away from the average traveler.
