One of my favorite conferences that I attend is FinCon. And at the end of FinCon are The 2017 Plutus Awards, which recognize the best in personal finance blogging. Here at BaldThoughts.com, we focus on being able to “Travel More. Spend Less. Live Better.” which aligns us perfectly with the Frugal Travel Blog category.
Now, you’ve seen the types of vacations that we go on. They are not cheap by any means. However, through the wonder of airline miles, hotel points, and cash back, we have 5-Star vacations and experiences on a frugal budget!

What is FinCon?
FinCon is the largest personal finance conference catering to content creators. I enjoy meeting new people and learning ways that I can improve the blog to provide you a better reader experience.

What are The 2017 Plutus Awards?
The 8th Annual 2017 Plutus Awards will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the conclusion of the 2017 FinCon conference.
The Plutus Awards are run by Harlan Landes, an accomplished blogger at Consumerism Commentary (which he sold) and his latest media project Adulting.tv. This will be his 8th year honoring the best of the best blogs, podcasts, and other social media within the personal finance community.
The nominations are open to the public at The Plutus Awards. And every vote will count towards The People’s Choice Award. Final voting for each category will be done by a panel of some of the best personal finance bloggers and media personalities around.
