Avoiding American Airlines AAdvantage Close-In Booking Fee. – This trick works, but you have to find availability with Avios.  And Avios doesn’t always have the same availability and they charge per segment, which means the total miles used could be higher.

The way we get off airplanes makes absolutely no sense. – This would definitely work if everyone was flying solo.  When you have couples that can’t stand to be apart for even 2 seconds, kids, elderly, or disabled, the whole system breaks down.  This is especially true in today’s age of “me, me, me” and lack of patience.  Don’t know the right answer to this one.  What do you think?
