Which card should you use to pay for your reservation?
Since these Delta Main Cabin award tickets to Hawaii or Alaska for 35,000/20,000 round-trip is on Delta, the American Express Delta (Blue, Gold, Platinum, or Reserve) is an obvious choice due to the great perks for cardholders:
- Priority boarding
- Free checked bag
- The ability to earn MQMs with both the Platinum and the Reserve versions
Other card options would be the Barclay Arrival or Citi Prestige due to their ability to offset a portion of the fare with points or flight credits, respectively.
The Bald Thoughts
A great opportunity to check off a bucket list destination with your Delta SkyMiles. Whether you choose a tropical island or the frozen tundra, you can’t go wrong with the value of redemption considering the recent SkyMiles devaluation. I personally will choose Alaska to see the northern lights. Which destination sounds better to you?
