Southwest Airlines extends schedule through April 6, 2018, so you can now book your St Patrick’s Day flights to Chicago or Boston! And if your kids have an early Spring Break, you can book flights to some great destinations, like the beaches of California, Florida, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
Southwest Airlines Extends Schedule to April 2018
Unlike the “big boy” airlines, Southwest Airlines extends schedule in blocks of time versus a rolling 330-day calendar.
I recommend booking your flights as soon as possible with Southwest, then rebooking the flights during sales because Southwest allows you to cancel and rebook flights without any penalty! The only caveat is that some fares are non-refundable, so you may only have 1 year from date of booking to use any of the saved points or cash.
I recently saved over 13,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points by re-booking my flight to Cabo, so the strategy definitely works.
The Bald Thoughts
Southwest Airlines extends schedule in bunches, so you have to pay attention (or read our blog!) in order to book your preferred routes before the best prices are taken.
