This Dream Job Will Pay You $3K To Check One Item Off Your Bucket List. – We all have bucket list items that are a bit out of reach due to time and/or money. This company is willing to pay you $3,000 to make it happen. You have until July 12th to apply. If you were chosen, what once-in-a-lifetime travel experience would you do?

What to Do When the Host Cancels Your Vacation Rental. – The uncertainty of vacation rentals has been one of the biggest hurdles for me to book one for a trip. I like that most hotel chains will “walk” you to another location if they are full and cannot accommodate you. I’m not sure that vacation rentals would offer the same kind of treatment… and if you would be happy with the alternative since you booked that location based on its characteristics. Here are 11 pros & cons to consider when booking Airbnb.

Pros and cons of using airbnb

Why I plan to dump the “new” Amex Platinum Card. – This will be a hot discussion for a while until people get used to the increased annual fee and added benefits. In some ways, Amex does need to reduce the number of Platinum members since lounges are getting so crowded and the card is not as exclusive as it used to be. But, for frequent travelers, the ~$60 per month fee is worth it when you factor in the annual credits, lounge access, and bonus points on flights booked directly with airlines or through AmexTravel.

The 50 Best Travel Films of All Time. – If you’re not ready to travel or need a little entertainment in between flights, check out some of these all-time greats. I love Planes, Trains, and Automobiles with John Candy and Steve Martin. Their comedy is a timeless classic. Which is your favorite travel film on this list?

One travel improvement I’m constantly making. – One of the great joys of traveling is speaking with locals to make new friends or get tips for their city. That’s one of the reasons why I love doing my podcast, We Travel There. It gives me such valuable insights into cities around the world and teaches me about experiences that I might not have otherwise learned about.
