Travelers Plan to Alter Summer Travel Plans Because of Higher Prices: New Survey. – Pent-up travel demand is causing a surge in prices that is affecting how people travel this summer. From this Bankrate survey, almost half of the people who responded aren’t traveling because they can’t afford it. Yet, another survey said that 80% want to travel this summer. So, people are staying closer to home, doing cheaper activities, and finding other ways to save. Obviously, one of the easiest ways to save is using airline miles and hotel points to pay for your trip, yet many people are too afraid to try it. That’s why I created the FREE 7 days to your dream vacation for less course, so you can quickly learn how to travel using miles and points.

Visitors will soon need reservations for one of Hawaii’s most popular sites. – Timothy and I visited Diamond Head State Monument and climbed up to the top during our Hawaii trip when he was five. Ok, he was on my shoulders most of the way. It was an amazing experience and something that I totally recommend. Just make sure that you get a reservation so you don’t miss out. Starting on May 12, you’ll need a valid ID and reservation to enter the park.

Hawaiian Airlines is installing free WiFi on aircraft. – Speaking of Hawaii, Twitter isn’t the only household name getting some love from Elon Musk. Hawaiian Airlines inked a deal to offer free Starlink internet service on their flights. It will take a couple of years for Hawaiian Airlines to roll out the service, but it is coming. This should put pressure on other airlines to offer it for free as well.

United cancels Johannesburg flights due to fuel-supply problems. – Long-range flights are pretty amazing when you’re in Business or First Class. However, it seems that United is having problems securing fuel at the Tambo Airport due to recent floods that are affected the supply chain in Johannesburg. Maybe they’ll resurrect the flight at some point in the future.

Is your kid’s friend coming on vacation with you? Get written consent from their parents first. – My kids are getting to the age where we’ll start allowing them to bring a friend with us on certain trips. This article brings up a good point about having documentation so that the authorities don’t question why you have someone else’s kid. And you don’t want to get in the middle of some custody battle between feuding parents either.
