The Morning Shave

How to Make Every Day Off Feel Like a Real Vacation. – You may not be able to travel as often as you’d like, but most people get at least 1 to 2 days off a week. Follow these tips to make the most of those days off to feel relaxed and refreshed. Then check out my podcast called We Travel There for inspiration about destinations when you are ready to travel.

Plane-spotting time; St. Martin is now open again. – We had such a wonderful time in St Maarten for my 40th birthday. I’d love to go back. One of the highlights of the trip was sitting at the local bar and watching the planes land. Some people were brave enough to sit on the beach and have the planes fly overhead (including kicking up dust & sand).

The National Parks Service Launches a Game-Changing New App. – Our National Parks are truly a national treasure for all Americans and visitors to enjoy. Download this app and make plans to visit a national park this year. One of my favorites was visiting Yellowstone National Park and enjoying all of the activities in and around the park in West Yellowstone.

Has the Pandemic Spelled the End of the Airline Lounge Buffet? – I’m totally fine with it because I’m not a fan of buffets. Even before coronavirus was a thing, plenty of people who were sick spread their germs or dirty fingers all over the place. This will lead to more individualized service, even if you get the same food that is served by one of the staff.

Alaska Lounges Rejoin Priority Pass Network. – Alaska has been notorious for turning Priority Pass members away from its lounges in recent years. Several of its lounges just rejoined the program (probably due to reduced demand), but let’s hope that they stick around as travel starts to increase again. If you don’t have the Priority Pass from one of your credit cards, click here to get a 10% discount when buy a Priority Pass membership.
