Experts share 5 tips to avoid pain on a long flight.

Going on a long flight in Economy can be tough on your body. Check out these five tips that will help minimize pain and discomfort during your flight. The stretches look good, but I’m concerned that the shrinking Economy seat won’t allow you to actually perform some of these.

JetBlue offers to give up all of Spirit’s New York LaGuardia slots to get merger completed.

Smart move by JetBlue to proactively offer to give up Spirit’s airport slots at LaGuardia airport to fend off the same issues they faced with the “Northeast Alliance” with American Airlines. JetBlue is very focused on making this deal happen, and it’s a good sign that they’re willing to make accommodations to close the deal.

Singapore Airlines to expand free WiFi to all cabins.

Airlines should just start providing free WiFi to all passengers. Although some people love being disconnected on flights, getting and staying connected is a way of life for most people in today’s society. This is especially true in some professions where your company expects to be able to reach you at any time. Instead of charging a few passengers $8 to $10 for access, if everyone paid $1 more on their ticket price, I’m sure that would cover the connectivity cost.

Can Flight Attendants Tell If You Don’t Put Your Phone Into Airplane Mode?

Aside from being “that person” who stays on a phone call too long, there’s no way for a flight attendant to know. Although I am usually good about turning my phone off quickly, sometimes I’m reading and forget to switch to airplane mode. The airplane police have yet to make a visit to my seat mid-flight to admonish me. Remember to make the switch, but don’t worry about anyone knowing that you didn’t do it.

Would You Ditch A Travel Companion Who Doesn’t Have TSA PreCheck?

Absolutely. Getting TSA PreCheck is so simple now that there’s no reason why someone shouldn’t have it. Heck, they even lowered the price recently. And, of course, there are numerous credit cards that reimburse TSA PreCheck application fees, which makes it even more of a no-brainer. With Global Entry and its onerous background checks & hard-to-find appointments, that might be a different story. You can literally do your TSA PreCheck interview at Staples, so there’s no excuse.
